The AEV exists to promote excellence throughout the venue community by engaging the events industry and recognising that we have a key role in improving visitor experience.

To deliver this vision AEV has a number of key objectives:

1. Fully inclusive/Representative – all venues are welcome and build a strong membership base both nationally and internationally.
2. Work in partnership with the aeo and aec - an Industry Vision
3. A catalyst for Best Practise
4. Industry research
5. Providing vehicles (events/meetings) for members and their customers to network, learn and interact.
6. Engaging Government to create a better environment for events in the UK to succeed.
7. Working to provide a better experience to our end user, the visitor
8. Promote Professional Development within the Venue Community
9. Operating fairly and efficiently in the best interests of its members
